Chateau de Montfort Description
The chateau (and a beautiful one at that!) is located on a limestone plateau above the Loire River in the Touraine region. The estate's 75 acres of Chenin Blanc vines are planted in calcareous and clay-like soils, with an impressive average vine age of 45 years. The wine is made in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, and fermentation is stopped to leave around 20g/L of residual sugar.
