Connetable Talbot Description
This second wine from Chateau Talbot, this has well thought out structure and a long fresh finish. The wine is made from a beautiful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Vintage collected manually selected only the best grapes for wine through a rigorous selection process.
Vinification took place in wooden vats volume of 4,200 hectoliters in stainless steel vats volume of 5,000 hectoliters at a controlled temperature. Maceration lasted for 3 weeks, and then the wine is aged in oak barrels, 20% of which was new.
The wine has a rich, deep, harmonious taste with soft tannins and a pleasant, long finish.
Aroma: Clean, expressive aroma of the wine reveals notes of cherry, lilies and wild roses, complemented with exotic nuances of pink grapefruit.
Food Pairing: The wine matches perfectly with tradional French fare such as coq au vin, herb crusted pork medallions, along with paté and aromatic soft cheeses.
