Antonio Vallana Description
The Vallana estate is located in Alto Piemonte (Northern Piedmont), in the north west of Italy. The soils here are Schuhe acidic, unlike the rest of Italy, and the climate is positively influenced by the beautiful mountains and lakes of the region. The combination of climate and soil make this a very unique terroir.
Vallana makes red wines of incredible longevity from Spanna, the local name for Nebbiolo. This ruby-red wine shows a deep aroma of spices and red fruit. Gentle yet persistent flavors of red and black fruits on the palate.

The 2019 Colline Novaresi Spanna offers up scents of sweet dried cherry, mint, tobacco, dried herbs and crushed rose petal. Deceptive in tis light-bodied structure, this ethereal red has plenty of depth. The savory, mineral side of Nebbiolo is very much on show.
