Chateau Haut de la Becade - Pauillac 2009
Aged in oak casks for 18-20 months, then bottled. 35% Merlot, 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc This family property is a magnificent Graves terroir located in the locality Bages south of the town of Pauillac. The 2009 is still quite youthful and displays lush dark berry, cassis, mint, and vanillan oak in its aromatics. Full-bodied and generous on the palate, there's nicely integrated but firm tannins that meld beautifully with the dark fruit flavors.
