Chateau Senejac Description
The wines of Sénéjac are characterized by a deep color almost black in their young years. The very expressive nose exhales scents of black fruits and spices. In mouth, Sénéjac presents a lot of fullness and intensity while remaining suave and civilized thanks to the smoothness of its tannins. The wine of Sénéjac is a charming and distinguished wine to drink young for its fullness and its fruit or better still to let age slowly to find the race of its soil.
James Suckling: 93 Points
Blackcurrant, blackberry, herbal and earthy undertones. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins and structure. Savory and layered on the palate. Rich finish. Chewy.
Vinous Media: 91-93 Points
The 2018 Senejac has an attractive bouquet of blackberry and raspberry fruits, touches of graphite and pressed flowers. I admire the precision of this Haut-Medoc. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, well-judged new oak (25%) and a touch of dark chocolate toward the finish. This has real panache and class and comes highly recommended.
