Chateau d'Arsac - Margaux 2019
Wine Enthusiast: 93-95 Points
This is a powerful, dense wine that is rich both in tannins and black fruits. With its spicy wood aging, concentrated structure and layers of blackberry fruitiness, this fine wine is set for the long-term.
Vinous Media: 92 Points
The 2019 d'Arsac has a very Margaux-like bouquet with crushed violet and potpourri bursting from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with very lithe tannins, well judged acidity, tobacco and minty notes infusing the black fruit towards the finish. Probably early drinking but nicely made.
Wine Advocate: 91 Points
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 D'Arsac leaps from the glass with vibrant notes of crushed red and black currants, fresh blackberries and black raspberries with hints of rose hip tea, bouquet garni and underbrush. The medium-bodied palate has a firm line of grainy tannins and loads of freshness supporting the bright, crunchy black fruits, finishing with an herbal lift.
