Colores del Sol wine is crafted in a distinct style, combining cutting-edge winemaking skills with the authenticity and singular charm of the Malbec grape. The Colores del Sol Malbec is sourced exclusively from the Luján de Cuyo district within Mendoza, one of Argentina’s most prestigious wine growing regions. At elevations reaching 3,500 feet, the vineyards in the Luján de Cuyo are among the highest, driest, and sunniest in the world. This elevation allows the area to remain cool while the grapes bask in bright, pure sunlight. This inspired the wine’s name, Colores del Sol which translates to ‘Colors of the Sun’.
Tasting Notes: In the glass, Malbec is known for power and intensity. Malbec offers rich fruit similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, along with the plush character of Merlot. Colores del Sol Malbec is deep ruby in color with bright purple hues. Intense aromas of ripe blackberry and hints of spice lead into a rich, fruit-driven palate, dominated by flavors of raspberry and black cherry. The wine shows excellent balance with an opulent, full-bodied mouthfeel and fine grained tannins.
