About the Wine: With a selection of grapes from California, Argentina, Spain and Chile, our Dark Horse Red Blend is anything but ordinary. As its name suggests, this blend is big and mouth-filling with dark fruit flavors, notes of caramel and chewy tannins on the finish.
Winemaking Notes: A majority of the grapes for our Red Blend were selected from California with the balance coming from Argentina, Spain and Chile to add extra layers of complexity. Fermentation occurred at warm temperatures around 85°F with hand-chosen yeasts. After fermentation was complete, the wine was aged on a mixture of French and American oak to impart mocha and brown spice characteristics.
