Les Fiefs de Lagrange Description
Vintage Report 2015:
- Weather Conditions The dry and mild weather conditions of spring quickly promoted budburst without talking of early-vintage. Blooming and ripening take place in excellent conditions.
- Picking Dates From 21th Septembre to 6th October.
- Blending 55% de Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% de Merlot et 4% de Petit Verdot.
- Tasting Brilliant nice color with purple hues, black and red fruits notes. Fresh on the palate with menthol and spices. Well balanced between the acidity and tannic structure which show a nice elegance wine. The most complete Fiefs de Lagrange since the 2009 vintage.
James Suckling: 91 Points
Brimming with cranberry and morello-cherry aromas but with a healthy dose of dry tannin this is a very fresh wine. Would rate more highly if it had a bit more complexity. Drink or hold. The second wine of Château Lagrange.
Vinous Media: 90 Points
The 2015 Les Fiefs de Lagrange has a generous bouquet with red cherries, strawberry and light red currant jus aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated, and a little more gregarious in style than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a powdery texture, a fine bead of acidity, quite sharp and citrus in style with a generous dash of white pepper on the finish. This is turning into a much better second wine than I expected. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Wine Advocate: 87 Points
The 2015 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is medium garnet-purple in color with cassis, red currants and cherries on the nose with touches of dried flowers and lavender plus a waft of thyme. The medium-bodied mouth is fine and fresh with soft, ripe tannins and a perfumed finish.
