Mionetto - Prosecco Brut
Mionetto Description
The Mionetto Prosecco Brut has an intense fruity bouquet with a hint of golden apples. It is very dry, fresh, light in body and well-balanced.
Ultimate Wine Challenge: 94 Points
Fresh, summer aromas of green grape, honeydew, and golden pear, the palate yields more subtle notes of kohlrabi and clean, green grape flavors. The mousse is creamy and the wine finishes clean, making it an ideal candidate for a spritz.
Wine Enthusiast: 90 Points
Fresh and vibrant, this classic Prosecco is exactly what we are all looking for: freshness, fun and fruitiness. Ample apple and lemon notes with a touch of white flower define the nose. These lead to a zippy palate that directly translates from the nose with loads of fresh apples and a touch of minerality
Wine Spectator: 88 Points
A juicy Prosecco with lacy texture, this offers a lively mix of ripe yellow and white peach, pickled ginger and white blossom notes.
Wine Advocate
Mionetto's NV Prosecco Brut is a solid, reliable offering with good varietal character and balance. Still, it would be nice to see this large house make more ambitious wines. I recently saw Mionetto's Prosecco being poured in one of Manhattan's most fashionable hotel bars and couldn't help thinking that Prosecco can be so much more. If the region's top producers are truly serious about protecting the integrity of the Prosecco brand, the first place to start is by putting a higher quality product in the bottle.
