Dominique Lafon Description
In 2008, Dominique Lafon, winemaker/owner of the renowned Comtes Lafon estate in Meusault, started his own eponymous label - and currently works approximately 4.5 hectares in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, and Beaune. Legally, the Dominique Lafon brand has négociant status but it is operated like a small domaine and Dominique rarely buys grapes. Total production annually is only 400 cases. Exceptional quality and value here, especially the Meursault-like Bourgogne Blanc!
The vineyards are farmed with the same principles of organics and biodynamics as Comte Lafon and are vinified with the same care and attention to quality that spurred Dominique’s reputation in the region and around the world.

Black cherry and violet aromas and flavors are singed by smoke and spice notes in this sleek, linear red. Nicely integrated and firm on the finish, with room to grow. Best from 2018 through 2027. 300 cases made.
