Resonance Description
This signature estate Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the dry-farmed Resonance Vineyard, planted on un-grafted rootstock in 1981. These Pinot Noir grapes were handpicked just steps from the Winery and hand-sorted upon arrival. During elevage, the juice is controlled with a light touch honed over 170 years of winemaking in Burgundy, boosting each vintage to achieve its most natural elegance and complexity. Resonance Vineyard Pinot Noir unveils the immense character, the “somewhereness” of this original site, within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.
Tasting Notes: The wine reveals a bright and pronounced garnet color, and a complex nose of black cherry, blueberry, raspberry, mind, violet flower, and noble essences of wood. On the palate, the wine shows a beautiful structure, a powerful energy, a perfect harmony worthy of the greatest. The delicate aftertaste, on mineral notes, promises a great longevity.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
Jammed with tension, this vibrant red offers well-defined cherry, raspberry and rose petal accents that are laced with hints of mineral, building structure toward refined tannins.
Wine Enthusiast: 93 Points
Stiff and spicy beetroot, cranberry and black cherry flavors hold down the center, and there is concentrated power coiled there.
