Eye: A sparkling clarity, pale gold in colour.
Nose: The very first impressions are of bright, fresh mornings. It is reminiscent of spring blossom such as hawthorn. They lead into more fruity notes such as summer apple and pear, then citrus, with hints of warm toastiness.
Palate: The first impression is lively and fresh. The citrus notes take on a certain maturity. There is passion with gentleness, lightness with spontaneity.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
Elegant, with rich base notes of toasted brioche and smoke adding depth, this integrates finely honed acidity, detailed texture and flavors of black cherry puree, apple tarte Tatin, kumquat and grated ginger. Provides a creamy, mineral-tinged finish.
Wine Enthusiast: 90 Points
This is a particularly mature nonvintage, with toast and secondary flavors of almonds and yeast. The acidity is there, but it is mature and ripe, leaving a wine that lingers softly, beautifully integrated.
