Verite Description
2019 La Joie shows a rich core of black-violet concentration, ringed with a very thin, youthful looking violet rim. The fruit aromatics are fresh and vibrant, with black currant & black plum compote, joined by elements of fresh cut greenery, subtle pine resin, iodine, and roasted baking spices. The palate illustrates the power and suppleness of the 2019 vintage, lending a purity and sweetness to each of the flavors described. The texture is balanced by tannins evocative of dark baking cocoa and robust acidity, both of which lead to a long, persistent finish.
Blend: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot
2019 Le Desir has a rich violet hue, ringed by a slender rim of incandescent purple-ruby color. Beautifully characteristic of Cabernet Franc, the aromatics of this wine are expressive and exotic, showing fresh rose petal perfume, fresh cherry blossom, California bay laurel, crushed pomegranate, blackberry coulis, and well-integrated French oak aromas of ground cinnamon, and brown buttered toast. On the palate, a robust structure defined by powdery tannins and lively acidity delivers a very fine balance, with an exceptionally long finish.
Blend: 83% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon
2019 La Muse shimmers with a deep violet-ruby core of color, expressing opulent fruit aromas of candied red & black cherry, and wild fresh blackberry, with perfumed notes of dried potpourri, dried rosemary, and essences of sandalwood, toasted cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove from French oak aging. The palate perfectly mirrors the nose, along with tannins reminiscent of dark cocoa nib, bright acidity, and petrichor minerality, all of which work to balance the supple texture of this wine, driving to a very long finish.
