VINEYARD INFORMATION
Our Chardonnay is crafted with grapes harvested from premium cool-climate vineyards throughout California, including Santa Barbara County, Lake County and the marine-influenced Delta region, where grapes develop lush tropical fruit aromas and complex layers of flavor.
WINEMAKING
To create our beautifully balanced Chardonnay, winemakers use partial malolactic fermentation and wood aging to impart a smooth, round texture and rich, creamy tones to the wine. Afterwards, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks to retain the varietal’s classic fresh, fruit character and acidity.
TASTING NOTES
Sutter Home Chardonnay is rich and elegant with fresh aromas of ripe pear and zesty citrus that lead to creamy peach and juicy apple flavors wrapped in a silky smooth texture. It’s a luxurious experience from the first refreshing sip to the full, lingering finish. Our Chardonnay is superb with rich seafood or poultry dishes, veal or pork chops, creamy pastas, and both mild and flavorful cheeses.

Light aromas indicate flavors of pineapple and pears with whisperings of oak. In the mouth the flavors blossom with more tropical fruit including mango and dragon fruit. On the finish a touch of gentle oak adds complexity.
