Rabarbaro - Zucca Amaro
Rabarbaro Description
Ettore Zucca created this Rabarbaro (rhubarb root) Liqueur in 1845. Zucca was a favorite in the Royal House of Savoy and across Milan for its deep, rich, and smoky flavors. As its house bitter, the Caffe Zucca in Galleria serves Zucca with soda or tonic on crushed ice, for a light, low alcohol aperitif. Zucca is also delicious with grapefruit soda, espresso or as a source of smoky depth in rum, tequila, and whiskey cocktails. With tonic, lime and ice (and perhaps a spot of rum), it makes for a refreshing and complex variation from the classic rum and cola.
THE KEY INGREDIENT: THE TRUE CHINESE RHUBARB
Made from an infusion of Rhubarb Rootstocks and a secret selection of rare herbs, Rabarbaro captures an appealingly delicate flavor. Zucca is made using the root of the true Chinese Rhubarb, which grows only in the mountainous regions of Kansu province.
