Stones Description
Stone’s Original Green Ginger is a highly flavored wine. The finest quality ginger is selected and whole ginger roots are dried and processed before dispatch to the Stone’s winery. We draw the character from the ginger root using heat and wine for over a week. After this period of steeping, the infusion is added to a clean neutral dry white wine which is blended with other, secret, components before bottling. Stone’s Original Green Ginger is a rich golden brown color with a powerful pungent ginger aroma. This spicy character follows on the palate where its zest is quite noticeable, but moderated by a softening sweetness. The aftertaste is fairly warming and this sensation contributes a certain glow to the palate.
