DuMOL Description
Deep ruby-purple; High-toned aromatics of violet, tapenade, cassis and pepper. The palate follows the nose with broad richness and full-bodied mid-palate weight. Muscular tannins envelope the back end with a vibrant edge of spice and bright acidity. Serve between 60 and 65 degrees to ensure full flavor development, this bottling will age positively for at least a decade.

A robust mouthful that serves up a rich, complex mix of ripe currant, herb and tar notes, with earthy, leathery scents, that are full-blown and gaining weight. Intense and concentrated, this needs cellaring.

The 2006 Syrah Russian River is full-bodied, richly fruity, not terribly complex at the moment, but pure and nicely balanced.
