Viberti - Barolo Riserva Bricco delle Viole 2013
Viberti Description
Viberti Bricco delle Viole Barolo Riserva is produced from an estate-owned single vineyard in limited quantities exclusively in the finest vintages. This powerful wine shows aromas of raisined red and black fruit and spices. Hints of earth, particularly minerals, and wild flowers follow. It is aged 46 months in tini prior to stabilizing in stainless steel tanks over 3 months. Cellared an additional 12 months, it will further develop in bottle over the next decade or more.
James Suckling: 91 Points
Very ripe strawberry aromas with hints of spice and licorice. Full body, chewy tannins and a juicy finish. Lots of ripe fruit and spice here. Needs time to soften.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Showing some development, with sweet cherry, truffle, mint and floral aromas and flavors, this is elegant, supported by a solid structure. The tannins are still a bit beefy on the finish, yet this has all the elements to find equilibrium in a few years.
